The Pub – A New Favourite in Benidorm
Many years ago, I wrote about The London Bar, which sadly is no longer with us. In its place, however, we stumbled upon a real gem – The Pub. From the moment we walked in, we were made to feel right at home thanks to the warm and friendly staff, and it quickly became one of our new favourite spots in Benidorm.
We actually went twice during our holiday. The first time was for a Queen tribute night, featuring a “Freddie Mercury.” Now, I’ll be honest – he might have been the least convincing Freddie lookalike I’ve ever seen, but what he lacked in appearance, he more than made up for in talent. He had a fantastic singing voice and was a brilliant guitar player, so the show was still thoroughly enjoyable.
Our second visit was for The Pub’s famous afternoon quiz – and what a fun few hours that turned out to be! The quiz struck just the right balance: challenging enough to keep things interesting, but still lighthearted and easy to enjoy. Thanks to the crazy but hilarious rules, we somehow managed to win even though we only came 5th! The whole place was buzzing with laughter, and the atmosphere was infectious. To top it off, we even bagged a free round of shots for our “victory,” which went down very well.
The drinks were cheap, the entertainment spot-on, and both times we visited, the bar was absolutely packed. Clearly, The Pub is doing something right, and it’s safe to say it has earned a permanent spot on our must-visit list for future trips to Benidorm.
