Reason 30 - Mundomar

One of the absolute highlights of our trips to Benidorm is a day at Mundomar. With three curious and animal-loving boys, this amazing wildlife park is always a hit. But truth be told, my wife and I love it just as much as they do! From watching dolphin shows to feeding cheeky parrots, Mundomar is a magical place that brings us face-to-face with some incredible creatures.

Up-Close Animal Encounters

As soon as we walk into Mundomar, the boys are off and running, eager to see their favorite animals. The dolphins are always the main attraction for us—the way they leap, twist, and interact with their trainers is nothing short of spectacular. The dolphin show is a must-see, and no matter how many times we’ve been, it never loses its magic. There’s even an option to do a dolphin experience, where you can get in the water and interact with them—something we’re definitely considering for a future visit

Another favorite stop is the sea lions. These playful, charismatic animals always put on a great performance, and we love watching them splash around and show off their tricks. The boys get a real kick out of their goofy antics, and we always end up with loads of great photos.

A Tropical Paradise with Exotic Birds and Monkeys

Mundomar isn’t just about marine life—there are plenty of other animals to see, too. The parrot show is always a fun one, with these clever birds showing off their talking skills and even riding tiny bicycles! The boys love feeding the parrots, and it's always a fun challenge to see who can get the best photo with one perched on their shoulder.

We also make a point to stop by the lemurs, where we can actually go inside their enclosure. These friendly little primates are incredibly curious, and if you’re lucky, they might even climb onto your arm! It’s such a unique experience and one the kids talk about long after we’ve left.

A Relaxing and Scenic Day Out

What makes Mundomar such a great family day out is that it’s not just about the animals—it’s also a beautifully designed park with tropical gardens, waterfalls, and scenic walkways. It’s easy to spend the whole day wandering around, stopping for snacks, and just enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.

We usually take a break at one of the restaurants or picnic areas, where we can grab some food and soak in the stunning views of Benidorm. There’s even a great play area for kids, which gives my wife and me a chance to sit down and relax for a while.

Why We Keep Coming Back to Mundomar

Every time we visit Mundomar, we leave with big smiles and even bigger memories. It’s a place that brings us closer as a family, gives us unforgettable encounters with incredible animals, and makes for a perfect day out in Benidorm.

If you’re visiting with kids (or even if you’re just a big kid at heart), Mundomar is an absolute must. Whether it’s the dolphins, the parrots, or the adorable lemurs, there’s something here for everyone. And if your family is anything like mine, you’ll be planning your next visit before you’ve even left!
